About Dr. Tom Stewart
Dr. Tom Stewart opened his practice in Bakersfield over 40 years ago. He knew he wanted to be a dentist when he was in the third grade. He was raised in Southern California and attended Long Beach State for his undergraduate degree and Howard University Dental School, graduating in 1972.
After graduating, he spent four years as a Navy dentist while stationed at Lemoore Naval Air Station followed by two years in Hawaii, working at Kaneoe and Pearl Harbor.
Following the Navy, he associated in two practices in Bakersfield and in 1982 opened his current practice where he remains today.
With a passion for restorative and implant dentistry, Dr. Stewart finds dentistry still rewarding and looks forward to helping his patients regain function, remain painfree and attain a smile they can be proud of.

Dr. Stewart remains committed to improving his community and is active in Kiwanis as well as serving on several additional boards in Bakersfield, giving back to his community. His hobbies include tennis, golf, guitar and piano studies.
